We understand the importance of providing nutritious and balanced meals to support the health and wellbeing of your child.

We make all of our meals freshly on the premises. Our menu is carefully planned to offer a variety of foods that meet the nutritional needs of growing children.

Our menu features a variety of nutritious foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and dairy products. We aim to provide a balanced diet that supports children’s growth and development, while also introducing them to a wide range of flavours and textures. All our catering needs will be provided by our on-site professional catering service - Aspens.

This ensures we meet all relevant food and hygiene standards. This catering company is used by all 12 school sites across the Lion Academy Trust.

Specific menus will be shared termly with the parents. Scroll down to read about food for your child.

Tiny Toes

Three months - two years

We will feed your baby with bottles up to and including the transition to solid food. For bottle-fed children, you can provide us with ready-to-use cartons, pre-measured formula and sterilised bottles or breastmilk for us to feed your baby.

Weaning your child onto solid food takes place following parents’ wishes and child development recommendations. This is a big milestone in your baby’s life; we will support your child to be introduced to a wide range of food, flavours and textures while starting to help them learn about nutrition.

Once your child is eating solid food we will continue to offer a range of colours, textures and flavours. Our food is made on site and we make sure we provide balanced and nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day.

As a reminder, all of our keyworkers and support staff are trained in baby first aid and are adept at helping your baby learn to explore food.

You can keep up to date with your child’s eating habits throughout the day; all feeds are recorded on the Ovivio App (formerly Blossom)

Food Allergies and Intolerances

We take allergies and dietary requirements seriously and work closely with parents to accommodate any specific dietary needs or allergies that your child may have.

We believe in open communication with parents regarding their child’s allergies. If your child has allergies, we will work closely with you to develop a comprehensive allergy management plan and ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to keep your child safe. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions your child has and provide clear instructions on how to manage them.

Together we will create a care plan and emergency procedures will be agreed upon with you, based on the information provided to us. This plan holds important information about your child’s allergies, including specific allergens, severity of reactions, and emergency treatment plans. This information must be kept up-to-date and accurate at all times.
