The Nursery section of the school provides either mornings, afternoon or full time provision aligned to your entitlement. The school will also provide provision from 7.30am till 6pm as part of its wraparound care. As set out above this will be for 48 weeks of the year. The Nursery will be closed over Christmas and the last two weeks in August.
At our breakfast club children are given cereal, toast and juice (parents need to provide a packed lunch). At our after-school teatime club children are offered a healthy snack around 4pm such as beans on toast or pitta bread with salad and tuna for example. Water is freely available at all times.
We actively promote independence by encouraging the pupils to prepare their own snacks and to clear away after themselves. We use fresh ingredients and follow statutory guidelines.
Individual dietary requirements and parental preferences are met wherever possible. We recognise the importance of healthy nutrition and this is delivered in a calm, friendly setting. The menu is displayed in the club and is also available on request.
The snacks and drinks we serve are not intended to substitute a main evening meal that the child may receive at home.
You have the freedom to book for the whole week or odd days whichever suits your requirements.
